The Unspoken Reason Why The Senate Refused To Hear Or Confirm President Obama's Nominee
One of my colleagues and me were talking today about the election. We made a number of political predictions. Mine: We may not know tonight or even tomorrow who the next president-elect will be. His: The elephant in the room is the U.S. Supreme Court having eight members; a 4-4 split on the court, and that is the unspoken reason why the Senate refused to hear or confirm President Obama's nominee. Combined: This election could come down to the Congress, which the majority is held by Republicans.
